This page is maintained by Strato Curated Collective, a d/b/a of Variety Strategic Travel Solutions LLC (Kilgore, Texas), to describe our current policies and disclosures. It is provided for information only and is not legal advice. For questions, contact info@stratocurated.com.
Who we are. Strato Curated Collective is a d/b/a of Variety Strategic Travel Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company with a mailing address of 1100 Stone Rd, Suite 118, Kilgore, TX 75662. Contact us at info@stratocurated.com.
Scope. This policy applies to information we collect through stratocurated.com, our traveler, agent, and administrator portals, and communications you exchange with us or with an affiliated independent travel advisor acting on our platform. It does not apply to third-party sites, apps, or suppliers you interact with directly.
Our audience. We are a Texas-based travel-planning business and primarily serve U.S. residents. We do not target our services to individuals in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, and this notice does not offer EU/UK GDPR rights. Serving a U.S. traveler who happens to travel to Europe does not, by itself, subject us to those laws.
1. Information we collect
You give us: name, email, phone, mailing address, travel preferences, passport-page images and expiry dates, emergency contacts, dates of birth (for suppliers who require it), traveler documents you upload to our secure document center, quote-request details, agent-application information, tax identification (for 1099-eligible agents; encrypted), electronic signatures and consents, and correspondence.
Automatically: IP address, browser and device information, referral URL, pages viewed, and cookie/similar identifiers (see our Cookie Policy).
From third parties: supplier confirmation data (airlines, hotels, cruise lines, transfer providers, insurers) that we book on your behalf; payment status from our payment processor (Stripe); email delivery status from our transactional email provider; and identity/eligibility signals for agent onboarding.
Payment data. Card numbers are entered directly with Stripe, our PCI-DSS certified payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
2. How we use information
- Respond to quote requests, prepare proposals, and book travel.
- Provide, secure, and improve our services and portals.
- Process payments, refunds, chargebacks, and agent settlements.
- Send transactional emails (quote issued, deposit received, itinerary, travel documents, agent onboarding).
- Send occasional service updates or offers where permitted; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy or legal violations.
- Comply with law, tax reporting, and travel-industry regulations.
3. Sensitive personal information
Travel planning sometimes involves what state laws call “sensitive personal information” — for example, passport numbers, government IDs, precise date of birth, and, when volunteered, medical or dietary details relevant to a trip. We use this information only to plan and book the trip you asked for and to comply with supplier and legal requirements. California residents have the right to limit our use of sensitive PI to those purposes; see Your rights below.
4. How we share information
- Suppliers we book on your behalf (airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transfer providers, insurers), only as needed to complete the booking.
- Independent agents assigned to your file — bound by our Agent Agreement, confidentiality, and compensation rules.
- Service providers who operate the platform under contract, including Supabase (database + storage), Cloudflare (hosting/DDoS), Stripe (payments), Duffel (flight search), PurelyMail/our transactional email provider, Google Workspace (business email + analytics), and our accounting and identity tools.
- Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Strato, our clients, our agents, or the public.
- Business transfers: in a merger, sale, financing, or reorganization, subject to this policy.
5. “Sale,” “sharing,” and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. As of the effective date of this policy, we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, and no advertising cookies or pixels are active on our website. If we later enable advertising technology that state law treats as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising,” we will update this section, disclose the activity, offer an opt-out on our Your Privacy Choices page, and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as valid opt-outs where required.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above and to satisfy legal, tax, accounting, dispute, and recordkeeping obligations. Travel booking records, financial records, signed agreements, and consent artifacts are retained for at least the applicable statute-of-limitations period. Marketing lists are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including row-level security on our database, encryption of tax identification numbers and other secrets, least-privilege staff access, multi-factor authentication for administrators, and a strictly private document storage bucket. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have some or all of the rights below. We honor these rights for residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and Texas under their respective laws, and for other U.S. residents to the extent applicable law requires.
- Access / Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Portability — receive a copy in a portable format.
- Opt out of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising (if/when applicable to us).
- Limit use of sensitive personal information (California).
- Appeal a denied request.
- Non-retaliation for exercising your rights.
How to submit a request. Use our Your Privacy Choices page or email info@stratocurated.com. We verify identity before disclosing or deleting personal information — typically by matching request details against information we already hold. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf; we may require proof of authorization and, in most cases, direct confirmation from you.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we engage in activity that qualifies as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising, we treat a browser GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device that sent it.
9. Restricted states — service not currently offered
Strato Curated Collective is not currently registered as a Seller of Travel in California, Florida, Washington, or Hawaii, and is not accepting clients whose primary residence, billing address, or business address is in those states. Residents of those states may join our expansion notification list — see Seller of Travel Disclosures.
10. Children
Our website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without parental consent. Travel bookings that involve minors are handled by the responsible adult on record.
11. International visitors
We operate in the United States. If you access our site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States under U.S. law.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and, where required, we will notify you.
