Thoughtful preparation starts here

Requirements are part of building with care

Every advisor who joins the Collective is expected to meet baseline eligibility and professional standards. Some requirements are confirmed before onboarding; others are completed as part of the onboarding and readiness process.

General requirements

Eligible to work independently

Applicants must be of legal working age in their U.S. state or territory and able to operate as an independent contractor.

Professional workspace

Advisors need reliable computer and internet access, a professional workspace, and the ability to communicate responsibly with travelers.

Commitment to standards

Applicants must be willing to follow Strato's Code of Conduct, privacy practices, documentation expectations, and the applicable advisor agreement and onboarding requirements.

Willingness to learn and prepare

New and experienced advisors must complete the Training & Readiness Pathway or the internal pathway determined appropriate for their background before independent booking access is considered.

Requirements completed during onboarding

If an applicant is selected to proceed, onboarding may include required screening, identity verification, agreement completion, tax documentation, membership selection, platform orientation, and other steps appropriate to the advisor's pathway.

  • Background review is required before activation
  • W-9 documentation is required
  • Identity and agreement requirements must be completed
  • Membership terms are presented before activation
  • Additional requirements may apply based on the advisor's circumstances and intended method of operation

Insurance and credentials

Prior travel-industry experience, personal Errors & Omissions coverage, and industry certifications are not required to apply. Insurance or other documentation may be required based on how an advisor operates, including when doing business under an EIN or business name. Strato confirms applicable requirements during onboarding.

A clear path, not a rushed one

Applying is the first step—not an offer of employment or engagement. Strato advisors operate as independent contractors, and progression depends on eligibility, required completion, demonstrated readiness, and internal approval.
